  • Answer:

first thing NEVER go by MAX WATTAGE. only the RMS wattage matters and in sum cases depending on the brand u wont even get what it advertise. so for say u have and amp that does 800rms at 2 ohms and u have a DVC 4 ohm sub that is 600-800 RMS . u wud wire the sub in parallel to a 2ohm load . so that means each voice coil with get 400RMS . so to answer ur second question each coil is 200rms. and that's the worst thing u can do is max out ur gain on the amp that will lid to clipping meaning ur simply burning up ur coils. list the amp and sub model and brand . plz so we can actually see what u can do with ur setup
