    Start by getting on to your local Fire departments Explorers. Through that you will gain ALOT of experience and skills, as well as learning what your local departments require for being hired. As soon as you can I would suggest start working on getting your EMT (or at least CPR/First aid if your state has an age requirement for EMT). Settle on a good college that has a Fire Technology or Fire science program and get your degree. then when all that is done, you might consider goign through a Firefighter-1 academy, but you might not need to depending on the certs you may or may not get through the Explorers. good luck.
