Why am I unable to open some links in Internet Explorer?

Internet Explorer won't open links that I click on!?

Every time I try to click on a link in Internet Explorer 8 I just installed today it wont go please help.

I got Internet Explorer 8 but got rid of it. I couldn't check my hotmail with it for some reason. I would suggest just going to something else. Back to Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox.
