    I congratulate you on thinking of these questions BEFORE jumping into the fire. Many people just blindly go into the field of Law without doing this research, then regret it later. TV shows tend to romanticize these positions - greatly. The posters above are correct.....BUT..... there is a LOT more to the story. Warning! Jobs in the field of Law are drying up FAST!!! This is NOT a good field to invest in!!! Many reasons, but the main one is: We simply have WAY TOO MANY legal professionals!!!!! (This includes Attorneys/Lawyers, Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Court Reporters, etc.) We have a GLUT of legal professionals. The law schools know this, but they keep churning out graduates because law students are easy money for them - the law schools will not tell you that the economy is SATURATED with legal professionals. There are MANY, MANY lawyers/attorneys working as: Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Court Reporters, etc. because there just aren't the jobs to support them. Many people are out of work, but the law field is the worst, because there are just too many legal professionals. I live in Ohio. Suggestion: Look into the field of Healthcare <<< LOTS of jobs there! and scholarships! Good luck.

well it differs from company to company. if you want to work as a para. then go to a large firm. a small firm you would not have growth oppor. I say really do something that is in demand and someting where you can delagte work
