Which course is better dentistry or nursing?

    Perhaps you're referring to dental hygiene as opposed to dentistry itself as DH is more comparable to a registered nurse (RN) in education and salary. If you would like to clean and scale teeth, take x-rays of people's mouths and possibly deal with dental disease which may cause halitosis (bad breath), then perhaps DH would be more your cup o' tea. Nursing involves helping patients clean (including bed pans and/or changing diapers), dress and feed themselves (albeit nursing assistant or lpn/licensed practical nurse may do those tasks too) and give injections, start IV's (intravenous) and assess and evaluate the patient's progress. I think it depends on what you actually want to do. Are you totally fascinated by people's mouths and teeth, that you'd want to be looking at them all the time? With nursing, although courses and training have changed a lot in recent years, you could do a general course, then branch out into children's nursing, midwifery, nursing elderly people or whatever aspect you found most enjoyable.
