Answer:
I haven't had a flu shot in many years, and I haven't had the flu in many years. Hmmmmmmm. It's notoriously true that pharmaceutical companies are some of the crookedest businesses in the world.

I have my flu shot every November. I can't afford to take any chances, as one good case of the flu will probably take me out, and I mean that literally. This winter I have had three colds, one after the other, but no flu. I'm not sure if I'm due for a pnemonia shot this year, I last had one in 2009 and then the doctor said every five years, but now I may be able to wait until I turn 65. The flu shot does NOT give you the flu; it is not a live virus that is injected. People who get the flu after having an injection have already been infected and the virus can sit in your body for two weeks before flaring into the flu, and it happens rarely.

Not every year...this year I decided to get one and I had 3 stomach flus, and 3 sinus/throat/and cough infections...I guess next year I won't get it.

get the flu shot every year I can. one year in a drive up clinic. I've had the flu before the immunizations were available and it was awful. one year the senior who had the shot was sick but not nearly as bad as the young ones.

The USAF made me get a swine flu shot in 1976 which killed more people than it saved and decided from that moment on that I would never get another.

Never had one, probably never will. I did however, have the shot for shingles. I had influenza A once a few years ago and I was very ill for about a week. But not sick enough to chance the shot.

I only had one and was sick for 3 weeks, never will get one again. Before this I only had 1 sinus infection in my entire life. No more for me.

I only submitted for the period of time in the eighties and nineties when I was caring for my elderly father who had only one lung. I had the vaccine for his sake.... a sick carer is no damn good. Now, however, I stay well away from my Doctor's surgery when they are doling out flu jabs. I've never believed they do any good and as I hate needles they would have to catch me to give it. I rarely get even a head cold, the last was eight years ago and it was the first in thirteen years. I hardly ever mix with people so I feel that is more protection than vaccination.
