What happened to Hotmail.com?

Users of Microsoft's web-based email service Hotmail are reporting a significant service outage over the last hour. A visit to hotmail.com displays only a "Server is too busy" message. Microsoft partner Matthew Arkin posted the following status update relating to the outage: "Hotmail and Live Mail outage. Issue will be resolved soon. Sorry for the inconvenience." We're not sure of the exact affiliation Arkin has with the company and whether or not microsoft_cares is acting in an official capacity similar to comcastcares, but either way one thing is clear: the easiest way to spot the outage was via Twitter search.

Well, if all other internet pages on your computer are working, then maybe hotmail.com is having some problems. Usually when that happens, it will be fixed, and up in running in a matter of minutes. :) If this is happening to all your internet pages, you may have to check your internet connection, and if then turn your computer off and then on again. Hope this helps :)

Some people make lots of accounts at hotmail.com so they want the people to close down the account or else thy will ban the account

It might be temporarily down. Sometimes it happens. Try again later in the day.

hotmail has the tendency to glitch, call it their trademark.

Give it another try. It is working fine for me on Mozilla Firefox
