Which is the best Polk or Jbl?

Polk TSi100 vs JBL es20 bookshelf speakers?

• what one is better and I cant listen to them cause I cant find a place, so I want your opinion. I am also using a denon x4000 receiver

  A lot depends on personal preferance the size of your room; what type of material your going to be using it for and how loud you like to listen...The Polk is probably going to play a little louder than the JBL...the JBL may sound a little mellower at lower volumes...so if you have a smaller room and your going to get 5 speakers plus a sub then the JBL should be adaquate in most cases...if your only getting two speakers for music and you like your music loud then Polk would be a better option..also price has a lot to do with it if you can get a better deal on the Polks then that may be the way to go, but if the better deal is on the JBL side then JBL especially if your going to be getting five or seven of them....Both speakers are imperfect and both will have trouble filling larger rooms with sound, so a lot comes down to which one is less ofensive; people hear in different ways and listen to different things ; so depending on where your ears are at and what frequencies and conditions are most important to you ( you might not even be aware of that) will depend on which speaker you find the least ofensive....The polk will sound a little louder but remember it is still a small speaker so its not going to be as loud and dynamic as some of the better larger speakers will....
