You may luck out on this one. You should give it a shot and keep your store receipt so in case it doesn't work, you can return your box. The thing that you should know is while you get "static" there still may be digital signals floating through the air and the box has it's own antenna {wire} that locks in these digital channels. I bought one of those converter boxes with the government coupon just to see how the box works. You know, even though we have Cable here at the house, the digital box picked up channels that I didn't get paying for cable?
