Is transfer from university of phoenix to university of Pennsylvania possible?

  • Answer:

You can't transfer credits from university of phoenix because it's a for-profit scam. It says right on the commercial that credits don't transfer because real schools don't consider it legitimate. Neither do employers. It just shows you are incredibly gullible and desperate.

Try looking for a community college (even one not in your state, though you'd have to pay out-of-state tuition) that has good distance learning options. If you can arrange with them to have your tests proctored wherever you are, you should be able to complete quite a few classes while overseas. Transferring credits from a community college to a public 4-year college or university in the same state should be very smooth, and there's a good chance a public in another state would accept the credits, too. You should not need SAT scores for a community college; I'm sorry, but I don't know what the University of Pennsylvania's transfer application requires.

As another poster said, check the community colleges in PA to see if they offer online classes. Many ccs do now, and they'd be reputable. I know Penn State offers a lot of online classes, so they may be an option as well. University of Pennsylvania accepts very few transfer students. It would be wise to have backup colleges in mind should you not be able to transfer in there. And since Penn State Main is a very, very well ranked school, they might be an option to consider. Penn does have their College of Liberal and Professional Studies, which may be of interest to you. It is slightly easier to get into than the traditional colleges at Penn: http://www.admissions.upenn.edu/applying/translps.php Most elite unis do require that transfer students take the SAT and submit their HS records. However, often, their special, "adult" type programs, like Penn's LPS, don't require that. They'd only want your college records. But do go to their website and find out.

University of Phoenix is a For-Profit College !!! UoP is not very well recognized by most Traditional Universities and the courses you take at UoP are not transferable to any Traditional State University as in University of Pennsylvania for example... You don't need good grades, a good GPA, etc.. to get into University of Phoenix.. The only thing that UoP cares about is your $$$$$.. Education is at the bottom 10% at UoP, while the other 90% is spent on Advertising and getting students to come to UoP!
