Which amp for Alpine Type R's?

I have a HIFONICS BXi1210D amp and i want to purchase 2 12inch Alpine Type Rs should i get 4ohm are 2ohm Subs?

    Don't get dual 2 ohm. You have to get dual 4 ohm and run the coils in parallel and then parallel to the amp to make a 1 ohm load. Yes you want to run that amp at 1 ohm. You will not over power your subs as those amps are 20 percent over rated. Even if that amp put out 1200 rms that would be better then 900 @ 2 ohms. Why would you limit yourself like that. Over powering subs is better then under powering anyways. It gives you more control over the subs and doesn't hurt the coils. Underpowering is worse cause people tend to crank up the gain more and end up clipping the amp. Always use more power when you can.
