What do you pack when you go camping?

Tent, check all poles and pegs are packed. Rubber mallet in case ground too hard for the pegs. Spare pegs, just in case any get bent. (Optional) Sleeping bags. Something to go under the sleeping bag - eg, camp bed, air mattress. The ground will be both cold and hard. Foot pump if you have an air mattress. Extra blankets, just in case you sleeping bag is not warm enough (optional). Toilet paper in a water tight plastic bag. Torches and spare batteries. First aid kit. Soap, towel, tooth brush and toothpaste. Insect repellant. Sun cream. Spare clothes in plastic bag. Hat. I know it's clothing, but it's the one you usually forget, but need. Spare shoes or walking boots (optional, depends on the terrain). Emergency rations, such as fruit biscuits. (optional). Camping tools or pocket knife. Bottle opener (optional). Camera, with spare batteries.
