How can you apply to med school after nursing?

Can I major in nursing but still go to med school?

  • I would like to major in nursing but then apply to med school because my dream is to be an we physician, is this possible?

  • Answer:

No. A nursing degree will not get you into med school. You would need to complete the subjects required to gain admission to med school. If it is your dream to be a doctor why would you go to nursing school? These are two different careers and one has nothing to do with the other.

Other answers

yes but it is a great waste of time and money. choose one or other. look into Physician Assistant degrees. money is good , less stress, decades less education debt.

The new thing is going to be a doctorate in nursing, look into it. Doc and nurses pursue a different education system but I know people that become MD after all sorts of careers in medicine. There may be a shortage of people getting their MD if Obamacare goes into total effect.
