It could be a problem with msn itself , try reinstalling the program and ask her to do the same with hers. Or It could be a problem with her own webcam software or the hardware itself . Do you have trouble seeing anyone else webcam on msn ? if not , then it's not your problem , your girlfriend needs to reinstall the software for her cam and see if that works , if not she should bring the laptop back to where she got it and tell them the cam won't work on it .
