  Well to start, I would look for all used stuff. And the reason being is that you want to keep it affordable. If you have never bought this stuff before and your not sure what to buy, this is where buying used is better. Your gonna need a decent receiver from Denon, Yamaha, or Onkyo. Buy a pair of used book shelf speakers to start then work on the surround as you go. These do not include any disc players, but your PS3 will do fine. Having separates like that will allow you to change one piece at a time until you find the sound your looking for. And since it was used to begin with, it can go right back up for sale with no real loss in value. Be sure to find one with HDMI inputs. It will benefit you greatly for your hi-def video sources.
