    This site has instruction on this that I believe allow you to print even if the ink levels are not recognized (but your cartridge is full) The page for the X2600 is at http://www.inkfilling.com/inkjet-refill-Lexmark--X2600.html and instructions are at http://www.inkfilling.com/instructions.php (download the pdf for inkjet and look by your cartridge number which is 18c0031) Also there should be refillable cartridges for your printer but they would still act as above (refillable cartridges are just easier to pour the refill ink in if I understand correctly)

Depending on which Lexmark X26xx printer you have, you can actually get an ink cartridge that is refillable. If you use the 14/15 cartridges, look into buying 14A/15A cartridges. They are a few dollars more initially, but they are made with the intention that they will be refilled.
