Well sort of. From what I know, a phone number acts allot like an IP address on a computer. When information is being transmitted and received from phone sends its current location. However, acquiring the information would be difficult as you would need to trace it while on a live call. For that your phone would need to be bugged (chipped) and monitored. Such equipment is only available to military and police. You should be safe.
