What the difference between a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Psychology?

  • which would an employer most want (if they have a preference)? Im majoring in Psychology with a minor in philosphy... I do plan on doing a masters program after i graduate, maybe ...show more

  • Answer:

Actually, the difference between the two is somewhat not much. B.A. is more on learning the very essence of psychology while B.S. is how to apply it to an industry setting. Employers don't really have a preference since the two are somewhat similar. A Masters would be of great help though. Take B.S. if you wish to pursue a medical career and practicing psychology in a medical setting... plus you can become a doctor since B.S. is a pre med. Take B.A. if you want to use the degree more on people to people talk. Most probably, you'll be hired as a Human Resource.
