What happens when you go for a job interview?

    Basically, the interviewer is going to ask you a series of questions related to the job position and its responsibilities. The interviewer is going to gauge your answers to see if you are a good fit for the position and after the interview, would either give you a call that you got the position or not. I don't think they are particularly interested about your washing ability, everyone knows how to wash dishes. Answers they are probably looking for is that since the position you are going for is a kitchen porter, that you are a well-rounded person. They are looking for someone with kitchen experience, someone who handles stress under pressure, a team player, organized, with leadership and customer service skills. You need to construct your answers to the questions asked with the skill level it pertains to. Well, first things. Walk in really confident and certain of yourself. You know, don't act like you own the place but walk like someone who's really happy and confident there. They are looking for someone that stands out, more than has dish washing tallent. Make a few points that you don't have allergies, you are thoroughly clean when it comes to dishes, and you wouldn't want anyone else getting less than you would expect. It's unlikely they'll ask you to sign contracts, but you never know. After a while there you could get promoted. Good luck, I hope you get it :-)
