What is it like being a physical therapy assistant?

What is the pay range for a physical therapy assistant? I am.....?

    A physical therapist assistant needs to have had physics which I believe involves algebra and trig too ;) Sonography may also involve some physics as well as anatomy and physiology and other science courses. I'm not too sure about the respiratory therapy programs and prereq's though I'm sure that science is a huge part as well. That other postee had a great idea about observing or 'shadowing' those in the field thru the local hospital or nursing home. I am also considering going into Physical therapy assistaning. It only requires 2 years of college and i think you get payed from like 10-14 dollars an hour. If your not sure what you want to you should contact a local hopital and go observe in those areas. Thats what i did and it helped me alot in chosing what i wanted to do.

PTA would require the least amount of math- College Algebra Respiratory Therapy at my CC requires Algebra or higher. Sonongraphy and Rad Tech requires algebra, trig, and physics
