Why won't my enter key work in MSN?

My enter key wont work for msn it just comes up as a new line?

    I sometimes get this because of these damn shift keys and other crap microsoft made. I solve it by pressing left shift loads of times, then check to see if it works. If not, do the same with your left ctrl. Also incase you didn't know, shift+enter = a new line
