    These things happen, I personally distaste the new messanger, the downloader is complete and utter crap and never worked for me. Get WLM 8.1.. it works normal and the interface is 2x as clean ( not that bloated crap ) Best of luck =)

well.... there is windows messenger in computer already installed which sometimes unable us to use windows live messenger....... you should uninstall windows messenger and then try again....... or maybe the installation file you are using to install is not preferable...... hope.. this will help u......... all the best..............................

download www.avast.com its a antivirus run this then go back to hotmail and re download it
