Why do I have to use propane or CO2? Why can't a GBB airsoft gun work with any compressed air?

Answer:
Compressed air doesn't have enough energy to cycle a GBB, especially if it has a metal slide. Sure you can try it, but when your gun gets messed up, it'll be at your own risk.
