How do i become a life model in an art class?

    The Register of Artist Models (based in London) could be a very helpful resource for you. Their website is very informative (see below). I've also included the link of a drawing group in Cambridge which has information for models as well. You could reduce your nervousness by practicing poses at home. The time to start experimenting with modeling is not when you are on the model stand. Even simple poses can be difficult (or painful) to hold for long periods of time. If you are worried about the drawings being seen, modeling may not be the right job for you - especially for photography. Assume the artwork could end up on the Internet or in a gallery. That said, the likeness in a drawing is often not identifiable.

they pay minimum wage for getting naked in front of everyone. it will go on public display and it will be in peoples drawing pads. it's not a hard job to get. it's not worth it. strip clubs pay better.

If you say you don't want the finished results to go on display then DON'T do it, especially photographic as the photographer holds the copyright to the material and can and will sell it to a magazine.

Don't do it. It doesn't pay beans, really. All the life models that I have ever drawn were street people who had grime caked on their ankles. And I went to a prestigious school.
