Unable to copy dSYM file into archive on Xcode?
-
Generate Debug Symbols is not under the build settings. I have the latest version of Snow Leopard. DWARF with dSYM is set under the build settings, but it still gives me the same message.

Answer:
When you build an archive with Xcode you use (by default) the "release" configuration which will not build the DSYM as it is debugging information. I can't imagine why you need the DSYM in your archive but if you really need it, you must modify either the "archive" scheme or the "release" build configuration.

User "Archive" to compile and archive your project. Then open the organizer to show your archive in Finder. Finally, show the file's content to find the dSYM file inside.
