Is there a major qaulity difference when watching BlueRay movie on a BlueRay Player or watching it on a Ps3 ?

I have to agree. The magazines that review players use the PS3 as the 'gold standard' and only the $1,000 players seem to rival it for picture quality. It's also the most likely player to be future-proof. Sony is already announcing new features to force existing owners of BluRay to upgrade their players before next Christmass. But the PS3 is expected to get the improved features via firmware updates.

PS3 is the best Blu Ray player out there. Buy the PS 3. For the price it is still one of the most capable players, already has profile 2.0 for BD Live content on discs. You can surf the internet on it, connect it to your media center PC to stream media off your PCs hard drive to your home theater. You can rip your music CDs to the hard drive and play them to your home theater sound syste. Media card reader slots and USB make it easy to move files, music, pictures whatever into it. The thing is a work of genius, seriously.
