When is the best time to pass the Hong Kong customs?

  • I'm chinese passport holder working in a SEA country, my former colleague moved to Hong Kong and invite me visit his house at next weekend, after booked ticket I found that I can't stay HK without visa, my friend suggest me leave HK via customs then enter again immediately. So I wanna ask that when is the best time to pass HongKong customs, I heard that many guys pass customs everyday. PS: I don't need really to enter any other city, just leave HongKong and back again, so where is the best customs and when is the best time?  PS2: My flight will land at Friday night around 20:00 and return flight on Sunday afternoon, actually I just stay there 1 day(sat), so the best choice is to complete the program once get in HK on Friday night? Thanks

    (Note: I know nothing about the visa formalities, so I'll assume that your friend is correct that you can round trip through customs.) If you just need to leave and come back.  Take the MTR or taxi to Lou Wu or Lok Ma Chau to Shenzhen.  Lok Ma Chau is open 24 hours.  Many people cross the border several times a day. Also, if you are in HKIA you can travel to Shenzhen or Macau without entering HK customs.  There are ferry services that are outside of HK customs.
