Honda Engine swap question?

  • When I swap out the stock engine in my 1995 civic dx for a b18c1 will I need to get a gsr radiator or a civic radiatior?

  • Answer:

stocks fine i would upgrade just cause ive heard some b18's have over heating issues so i would upgrade the radiator and thermostat in the long run. doesnt have to be done right away but should be dont later.

the stock is ok...but its best if you got one from the 96-00 civic sedans...they are thicker and the inlet and outlet is the rights size for the hoses so you wont have to clamp it down so much...

The OEM civic radiator will work. However, I would recommend upgrading to a better radiator in the future... I would recommend a fluidyne just because I have had those in all of my cars. Not to mention you will have a more efficient cooling system for the larger displacement motor.
