    take good care of the trans flushes, trans cooler(big one) if I recall correctly they are based off the CD4E witch is a piece of trash in smaller cars they have a very bad history

They're good cars, don't know the cost of fill up but the mpg's depends on the motor and drive train you get with it since it is available with a 4cyl and 6cyl and 2wd and 4wd, automatic and manual options. I have an explorer and considering getting one myself for better fuel mileage. Just don't expect to tow anything too heavy because the transmission won't take it.
