If the unit has a USB cable then just plug the iPod lead that came with your ipod(and plug the iPod into the other end) into it and select the menu see what happens, otherwise you will need a KS-PD100 (http://www.raysmith.co.uk/KS-PD100/) depending on the unit so let me know what JVC model it is and I'll check for you
