There are smaller boats but I don't know the quality. The Uniworld are supposed to be the best in that size range. We went on Viking and it was very nice. The prices may seem high, but on the bigger cruise ships they nickel and dime you for everything while on Viking pretty much everything was included. The meals were all truly fine. Wine is included with all dinners. It is also like walking out of a hotel into a small town when you get off every day, not a big production like getting off a big ship.
