How do I know when I get my US passport?

I would like to know how to get the new passport if I lost my passport in China? I need to go back U.S.A.?

I lost my passport on Oct 20 and I have some urgency to do in U.S. I want to get a new passport as soon as possible, Is there any one know?

contact your embassy - they can issue you with a new one or at least a temporary travel permit

Go to the US Embassy and good luck! Go in person with whatever documents you have that prove you are you incl. travel itinery, plane tickets, receipts etc.

Yes you will have to contact your nearest embassy or cousel office in China. There are forms and procedures in place.
