Is it possible on team fortress 2 when you talk to people on your earphone when you talk through it. Does it work?

My friend is on team fortress 2 and he wants to talk to other people. Does it work when you talk through the earphone or headphone? Explain why and how.

Answer:
If your headset has a microphone, yeah, you can talk with the in-game voice chat function. Most headsets are either USB or analog which means they have a cord for the headphones and a cord for the audio that plugs into your PC's audio jacks. You just plug it in and configure it in the game's options. I think you might need to set a key to enable voice, preferably one that's easy to reach while you're playing. Typically I use the V key for my voice chat.
