What are the employment requirements of a locksmith in regards to background checks, criminal history?

Employment history background checks?

  • When companies do background checks on your employment history what exactly do they do to confirm you had worked for a company. Other than making a phone call, faxing or writing to ...show more

  • Answer:

They are mainly checking that your CV is accurate and there are no unexplained gaps (like you were in jail!). You already have a good response about references, many of which are limited to start and finish dates, job title and reason for leaving (in case it was a disciplinary dismissal). A Credit Check is only your credit rating, which may or may not be better without a credit card, mainly to ensure you aren't bankrupt. Good luck.

They may look into your credit report.. (where I worked we had to do so) then they will call any and all previous employers and ask if you worked for the company.. and how long. That is usually it.. they are not allowed to ask if you got fired or quit or whatever.. just to confirm you had worked there and for how long.
