    It depends on what area of Nursing you are interested in. As a CNA you get your training fast and you can get a good idea if nursing is for you. Trust me it is not for everyone. I have been a CNA for about 8 years now and see some people that just can not handle things. As a CNA you mainly do the grunt and disgusting work. Just think of everything you do for yourself you have to do for your residents or patients. You have to be caring and have a lot of patience. Don't get me wrong it is not all bad, you really learn a lot on the job and even get attached to some of the people you take care of. As a nurse you need to be able to think on your feet and make good decisions. Most nurses have long hours and little time to sit down, but it makes the time go buy that much faster. As for pay, all hospitals,nursing homes and other company's have different pay scales. For example for a CNA in the place that I work makes 9.00hr starting wage and 20 miles away you can make 10.00hr. And of coarse the higher up in nursing you are the may pay you get.
