RN's and other healthcare jobs are in great demand. However, I have seen a few young ladies that enter college with high hopes but they fall short. The females I am refering to are not the usual partiers or foolish people either. I am not trying to put negative thoughts in your head, but go into the nursing courses with a strong dedication and do not let up. Nursing is not something to play around with while in school or after school. I have heard when people become admitted to Nursing School, they do not have a social life. After school you should find a job, maybe even before gradutation if your grades are high enough. I think the job you acquire will relate to whether you always be on call. I know some healthcare jobs rotate being on call every week. So if you be on call one week the next 1 or 2 a colleague will be on that duty. Again always being busy depend on the place you work. For example, nursing homes with people that do not have many medical complaints means less work. Also a hospital that is relative small and do not perform alot of procedures.
