Whats up with waiting lists to get into Nursing School (RN)?

I want to apply to nursing school next semester after I finish all necessary prerequisites, but I hear the waiting list to all local schools is atleast 2 years? Anyone else live in ...show more

Rutgers, New Brunswick has a BSN Nursing program and it's pretty cheap compared to other four year programs.. it's what I want to do! As far as I know they dont have a waiting list, though I could be wrong.

I know it's ridiculous too I guess it's because they have so many applicants so many people wanna become a nurse that's what pays now. I've been done with all my prerequisites and I've been on the waiting list for like a year I was also thinking about doing my LPN next year cause I just can't sit around the house and not do anything well if you're sick of waiting lists you can always apply at a private college but that'll cost way much more money cause they don't have waiting lists
