Give him Benadryl tablets as prescribed on the box and put ice on his eye. Most people do swell if stung on the face. They swell no matter where they get stung but if you did not treat it at the time it will continue to swell. You can take him to the hospital if it will make your feel better but the swelling will go down in a few days. His eye may also get water blisters around it, nothing to worry about, but for your own peace of mind you might want to take him to the hospital. They will give him a shot of Benadryl.

it sounds like an allergic reaction. see a doctor. also, because it is close to his eye i wouldn't suggest you put any creams on it.
