How do I delete my hotmail account plus messenger?

How do you delete a Windows Messenger Hotmail account?

• I made another account a couple of years ago and I never use it so I thought I might aswell delete it, but I need to know how to! If you could help that would be much appreciated.

  - Open the Windows Live website in your Internet browser. - Sign in to your account with your Windows Live or Hotmail ID. - Click your name in the top, right corner of the browser and select "View your account." - Click "Close account" under "Additional Options." - Read over the "When your account is closed" section on the page that opens. This tells you that you will lose your contacts and everything having to do with your account will be permanently deleted. - Type your password again to verify your account and click "Yes." - Click "Close Account" to finish the process and your account is permanently deleted. Your user name is held for 270 days if you ever decide to open a new account.
