Does WoW use more bandwidth than MSN?
-
not sure if anybody has asked this before but is WoW a bigger drain on bandwidth than MSN messenger, as in does it guzzle down more of your monthly quota?
-
Answer:
WoW uses more but if you're using webcam or voice chat or whatever on MSN then MSN might use more (unless you're doing something involving lots of other people on WoW)

Yes it uses more bandwidth than messenger (it is a constant flow of data, rather than just a periodic messege). As for how much it uses, it depends on what you are doing. If you are in a sparsely populated area w/ just NPCs you won't use a ton of bandwidth. If you are doing a 40 man raid, that's in a whole other category. And the software updates use a ton of bandwidth (esp. the big updates that take for ever to download!).
