Which is better Windows Live Essentials, or Windows Live MSN?

I just downloaded windows live essentials 2011 and i'm not sure if the other msn I had , windows live messenger, is better or worse... Opinions pleasE?

If you're only messaging, stick with windows live messenger as Essentials is a bunch of programs bundled together, including windows live messenger.

I wouldn't recommend the BETA. Just get Windows live essentials for the time being.
