Do you need to verify your "bank account" to sell things on ebay?

  If you have previously bought things as a guest on Ebay using your debit card this will not be relevant when wanting to sell things as to sell you will need to set up a user account and when doing this you need to verify your account. All that is entailed with this is that Ebay will put a small amount of money into your account and you will have to confirm the amount that has been transferred (usually about 18p). So yes you do need to verify to make sure any money later transferred will go into your bank account and not someone else's. However if you already have a user account you should of already done this.
