Sixteen is the minimum age to drive, but you must complete Ontario's graduated licencing system, and MTO is currently on strike right now which makes it impossible to do any testing at the moment.

Just get your drivers license (you're 16, right?) and go from there. The hardest part will be getting insurance for your car being only 16. And you're not "legally" allowed to drive alone but remember, the cops will only pull you over for a reason (don't speed, follow the road signs and drive carefully and you'll be fine)! But you need insurance to drive a car (even to buy a car) and that will be a REAL CHALLENGE! And please, DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!
