Answer:
You can't do anything except exam-only subjects.. Your best option is probably to look into IGCSEs, whichdon't have coursework and controlled assessments.

Here is an answer I recently answered on the subject: Here is a link that explains GCSEs for home educators (this is what home schooling is called in the UK) http://home-ed.info/gcse.htm My son took a number of GCSEs and IGCSEs. IGCSEs don't need coursework and are all exam based. Some GCSEs don't have coursework such as Maths (you need to look on the Examining Boards website to find out which ones do and don't). IGCSEs are well respected and in fact many Private Schools have their pupils sit them instead of GCSEs. If you do want to do GCSEs with coursework, this can be more difficult to arrange as you would need a Tutor (either privately yourself or possibly through a local Home Education group who could authenticate that the coursework you have done is your own work). Another option would be to take a correspondence course through a company like ICS or Oxford Home Schooling and they would have your coursework marked as part of the course. Personally we found that we got on better with text books and online resources than with the course that we bought and that is the way we went, and of course it was much cheaper that way too. Whichever way you go you will need to pay for the exam separately. What subjects are you looking to take? If it is Maths then I can't recommend Conquermaths.com highly enough. There is also a 40% discount available for Home Educators. There is a also a fantastic English course written for Home Educators here: http://www.catherinemooneytutoring.co.uk%E2%80%A6 Here is a great link for exams for Home Educators, it's a Yahoo group and there should be someone on there who could advise you on local exam centres. As a guide we paid £50 to a local private school for each IGCSE and GCSE. But this all depends on individual areas. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HE-Exams-G%E2%80%A6 Good Luck!

Here's a website with some general information about taking exams while being home educated: http://www.nwilts-he.org.uk/he_exams_wiki/ That site also has a link to a busy Yahoo list where people chat about the subject and will be able to give you more detailed information.
