What is required to renew your pilot's license after it has been revoked because of age or health?

Once issued, it is good for life- as long as the airman has a current medical certificate to go along with it. 2. No. You must obtain an aviation medical certificate- http://www.flightinfo.com/medical.htm which can only be had via an exam from an Aviation Medical Examiner (a doctor blessed by the FAA to give pilot physicals). 3. If you already have a pilot certificate, the only way you can "renew" it (or become current to act as a pilot in command) is to: a) Obtain your medical certificate. Find your nearest AME here- http://www.faa.gov/pilots/amelocator/ b) Go fly with a flight instructor and get a Flight Review- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biennial_flight_review c) When you pass, the CFI will sign you off as current to act as a pilot-in-command. Only then can you excercise the priviledges of the certificate.

You don't say which country issued your licence.... In the USA a pilot's licence will not be revoked due to age or health. If you fail your medical, or have it revoked you still have your licence, you just can't excercise it's privileges. If that is the case, and you have resolved or have the problem under control you will need to retake your medical exam and your AME may need copies of your doctor's records to send to the FAA to get a new medical - this may take up to a year! A driver's licence may be used for sport pilot but ONLY if you have not taken and failed a medical or had it revoked! Your best bet is to talk to your local Aviation Medical Examiner and see wht he says. If your LICENCE was revoked (ie you were told to return it to the FAA) you will have to retake all practical tests and meet all requirements as though you were starting again.

The sport pilot rule does not have a provision for a revoked medical certificate. Eg, if you fail your medical, or it is revoked, a drivers license cannot be used to exercise the privileges of a sport pilot certificate. Thus, the only way, at least for now, is to go back through OKC, and get a new medical certificate. Waivers have become easier through the years, and in more and more cases, a regional flight surgeon can authorize your AME to issue a medical certificate via consult, rather than the onerous 3-6 months it takes to get a waiver from OKC.

No, that's not true. You need to pass the medical examination of the class required by your license type. If a license is revoked because of age, I would imagine there's nothing you can do, but if it's revoked because of health and the problem has passed, you would just need to be able to pass that medical examination again.

YOU HAVE TO RETAKE THE TEST ALL OVER AGAIN PLUS YOU HAVE TO GET A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE FROM A DR.. AND IT ALSO DEPENDS ON THE TYPE OF AIRCRAFT YOU FLY
