Answer:
Carp can be caught with almost anything. A pole is not needed at all. Carp are stupid Gluttons and love stinky, rotten crap. To waste money on a pole for carp is buying a Mercedes to haul manure.

hi, you can use any of your rods for carp but you will have to use them for different situations. your ugly stick is a v stiff rod u could use this for hit and hold places such as stalking near snags, trees or dence reed beds but beware of hook pulls as the rod will not absorb the lunges.your spinning rod should be a lot softer and would be perfect for open water stalking or floater bait fishing i.e. bread, dog mixer etc. your feeder rod use as intended, use a lead or feeder on the bottom if your rod has quivertips use the strongest one u have and dont go over 1.5 oz leads, the reason carp rods are used are because you need to cast long distances with big leads, pva bags, method etc also the bigger leads are used as bolt rigs so when it picks your bait up the lead helps to set the hook, check out the korda carp fishing dvds for loads of tips on baits, rigs and more your reels need to be medium to large size ive had 20lb carp shread the gears on my match reel and you will need deep spools for casting distance or if u hook a monster that strips 100 yards off your spool! i use 12lb - 25lb line for different situations, you can pick up a full carp starter kit up now for 200 quid now to get you started and fishing in comfort and be able to chill in a bivvy with 3 rods on alarms hope this helps and tight lines carp set: http://www.dragoncarpdirect.com/acatalog/SSP-G.html korda dvds: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/__korda+underwater_W0QQ_dmdZ2?crlp=2692173293_228459_228460&UA=WXI7&GUID=48e6b7eb11f0a0aad3e65586feb08564&keyword=korda+underwater&MT_ID=10&agid=271595497

depends on how big the ones you're catching are as far as reel goes but the rods you listed would be fine.I fish for carp using the same rod I do for bass but the carp I catch aren't exactly huge.

Carp fight and can get really big, so you want a strong rod. Carp rods are specifically designed for carp fishing, however you can use other rods to fish carp with. However I still have broken an 8 foot Rhino Rod pulling a carp out of the Blackstone River. But I do think the Daiwa 12 footer is in fact a carp rod. As for a reel, A good medium sized reel should work. I'd even go as far as to say, one that can take a braided line.
