    MKultra hit on it. worms get washed into the water through runoff during rains. also wind up in the water when the banks cave in. easy meals.

feathers and flies imitate bugs that drop in the water duh worms drop in to the water when it rains from under cut banks im sure some come from run off but a stretch of under cut bank in the river can produce dozens of crawlers in a concentrated area

As Bill Engvall put it, There were a fish on the bank "trying to catch it's breath" while a worm crawled by and the fish ate it. Then he swimmed back down and told all his friends about it. Damn, i need to quit watching so much TV! Hope i helped ya out.
