What are the non-technical things a civil engineer can do?

What are some things an engineer can do to make kid's bedroom really cool (and practical)?

  • I want to make some cool things to my kid's bedroom. Things that we can create together and be really awesome to have. Any ideas? By "cool things" I mean the ones that have a specific practical use and not just "the looks".
