    Make sure direct to disk writing is disabled on your pc aka directcd . If it is enabled, it indexes the disk for use as a removable drive the moment it is inserted and this prevents it from being recognized as a music CD by your car stereo.

Well some decks made before 2004 wont even play burnt cd-rs with mp3 or wma music files, check the manual if you have one. I have a couple of gm cars between 99--01 that have their factory cd players still in them and they play burnt cd-rs fine. Try burning your discs with a different program, sonic record, or just windows media player, and do not use cheap cd-rs, i use HP ones and they always record fine. Also dont put alot of songs on one cd-r, 15-20 songs is the max, even cd players that play these files may not because they cant read all the info due to so many songs being burnt on one disc.
