Midwifery is so much more than delivering babies. But you may want to check that out in your country. Where I live it involves all prenatal visits, labor and delivery and follow up support helping moms and babies in the first two months with breastfeeding and childbirth recovery. Radiography will require basics in physics and biology. Nursing will require basics in biology, math, and chemistry and probably some social sciences as well. Medicine will required basics in biology, math, chemistry, and physics. Radiography is technical and requires working with a lot of equipment and not so much with people. Probably not so much immediate decision making. Nursing is people oriented and does require on the spot decision making and well developed analytical, communication, problem solving, and planning skills. Medicine is highly analytical and requires deductive reasoning to make a diagnosis. Physicians work mostly with information, then with equipment and less emphasis on communication and people skills. While medicine is about decision making most decisions made by physicians are not made quickly but are in fact made over time after consideration of many sources of data. There are exceptions, of course working in an emergency department would require faster decision making. Sometimes in the operating room quick decision making is necessary. Have you thought about becoming a paramedic? ( not sure if they have that in Malta) but you may find that better suited to your achievements in school ( you obviously don't like chemistry) and your desire for excitement and fast-paced decision making. Try the resource page as there is a good description of the difference between medicine and nursing there.

Hi there, I'll keep this brief because good answers have already been given. Whilst I cannot possibly comment on radiography, you might want to look here with regards to midwifery as it may give you some insight. http://www.studentmidwife.net/i-want-to-be-midwife-1/thinking-of-applying-74/24025-midwifery-right-you-you-right.html I think the information in that discussion page will be helpful. Incidentally, you may find the whole website useful but be advised it is UK biased, but does support midwives, students and wannabes all over the world. The site also has a small, but growing nurse section so it may pay off to hang around both camps until you decide what you are going to do. Hope this helps, Rob

If you want exciting, consider midwifery. From the little i know about radiography it's not bad but it's boring Nurses are really needed in malta so that would be a good career move. Try talking to people who have either graduated in the courses you like or are following the course right now. They can tell you what to expect. If it were me I'd choose midwifery though. Unless you are prepared to study really hard for a doctor.
